The deal involves
Bauromat offering technical support to the team, while also exploring avenues
for robotics and automation throughout the wider university, too.
“We’re
really pleased to be able to help out the university and team” said Bauromat
Managing Director John D’Angelillo.
“It’s great to be part of such a successful team but it goes beyond that. This is about promoting automation & robotics and providing students with first-hand experience so when they’re in employment they can champion it, too”.
As part of the sponsorship, both Bauromat and the university will explore the possibilities of internships and placements for students, allowing them to get experience in the industry.
The
sponsorship means that the Bauromat name will also be seen on race tracks up
and down the country as part of the UWR (University of Wolverhampton Racing)
livery.
Driven by
championship front-runner Shane Kelly, the car races in the F3 Cup, a single-seater
formula that have rounds at some of the UK’s best circuits.
This
weekend is round three of the championship at Oulton Park, in which Kelly and
the UWR team will be looking to bounce back from a mixed weekend last time at
Snetterton.
